There is an extensive network of ferries between Spain and Morocco. Several companies across the Strait of Gibraltar each day, high-speed vessels move people and cars in less than an hour linking the ports of Algeciras and Tarifa ports with Ceuta and Tangier and the new one Tanger Mediterranean, Tanger Med. Prices vary greatly throughout the year. At Christmas and the holidays of Ramadan is half-price deals. During the summer threre is the OPE Operation Crossing the Strait coordinating a lot of persons and cars. The best known are Acciona (former Trasmediterranea) Comarit, Balearia, FRS and Intershipping. This two companies are working between Tarifa and Tangier too.
