The Strait of Gibraltar is a zone of sighting of 7 cetacean species, aswell a place of residence os some of its. That's why in Tarifa there are several companies dedicated to the sighting of these "giants of the sea". These companies have localized areas of greater probability (up to 95%) of being able to observe them in their own habitat. Large herds of pilot whales, dolphins, sperm whales, killer whales ...

The sighting of cetaceans in the Strait of Gibraltar is an unforgettable and unrepeatable experience. There are two companies dedicated exclusively to the sighting of Cetaceans in Strait of Gibraltar:

Next to the entrance to the fishing port of Tarifa is the Interpretation Center of Cetaceos that collaborates with the study and conservation of cetaceans.

Some of the boats have Underwater Vision to see them very close when they approach these great mammals to browse.

RULES OF CONDUCT

Do not feed the animals, do not throw anything at sea, do not scream, do not run on the boat and do not touch the animals. Use camera without flash.
We will approach the animal with caution avoiding bother using distance, direction and speed recommended by the Spanish Legislation and Regulations ACCOBAMS.
We ask that parents / guardians / teachers continually engage the children under their responsibility.
